Pueblo ruins

The village of Tsankawi ruins contained about 275 ground floor rooms. The structures here were one to two stories high. There has been minimal excavation the village. Tsankawi means village between two canyon at the clump of sharp, round cacti. Tsankawi is a Tewa word. Tewa is the traditional language of San Ildenfonso Pueblo.
