All of these Nevada entries have peaked my interest (bad pun intended), I might have to make a weekend trip before it gets hot. Thanks for putting up another nice page,
Martin
P.S. Nice route descriptions and driving directions!
Hi Martin, route info is now up, with accompanying photos. Let us know if you make it down this way to bag some desert peaks, ScottyS and I would be happy to show you around. Thanks for the vote.
I seriously doubt that this peak will see much increase in traffic, it's way out of the way, but you never know. Good work on your panoramas, I really appreciated the one from the top of Tohakum. Unfortunately, when I was up there yeserday, there were low clouds in all quadrants, and I didn't see much. Thanks for your vote.
The "swarming people" comment was delivered with much sarcasm. I did update the Tohakum pano to include Pyramid and I also added a link to the caption.
Nice job on the route info. I look forward to more Nevada peaks on SP (as long as they don’t get to popular).
Nice page and route info. It looked to me like the 3rd class along the ridge to Tohakum might be bypassed as 2nd class on the east if one were so inclined (I'm not sure why anyone would want to), so I'd suggest clarifying that route as contrived 3rd class. It might also be helpful to mention something about descent options, too--I climbed Pyramid's East Ridge first, traversed to Tohakum, and then dropped down the drainage between them. I encountered some truly awful bushwhacking in places on the return.
BTW, do you have any recommendations for other Reno area peaks with good 3rd/4th class possibilities? Thanks.
Thanks for the vote. Contrived 3rd it is. As far as Reno area peaks, the Limbos have good 3rd, and King Lear Peak (not really that close to Reno) is a fun scramble, and can be as difficult as you want to make it.

Untitled CommentGood page but no info on the route. Is it a trail or scramble or technical climb? How long and what elevation gain?
Good directions and photos. Let me know if you add any route info and I'll upgrade my vote. Thanks.
