Railey  Sucess!

Climbed several routes with my wife on 1-2-3, Thailand Wall and Diamond Cave. Great spot and a superb combination of climbing, diving and relaxing on the beach. Routes are safely bolted with glue-inns or slings.
Sure that we will return sometime.

Route Climbed: Just a few. Date Climbed: January 2003  Sucess!

Didn't climb here as much as we wanted because we were either sick, or having too much fun scuba diving. Still, the limestone was great, though some of the threads were tired and funky. There is a major bolt replacement program going on now which is making the area much safer.

We saw a spectacular fall here where a guy's belayer wasn't paying attention when he took a lead fall. He fell cleanly past six bolts, and was only stopped when two others on the ground grabbed the rope. He had about 7-8 feet left before decking. My wife saw the whole thing from mid route as she was leading the next route beside him. As the belayer, I was helpless, and looking for cover, hoping he wouldn't hit me.

On another route, the monkeys ransacked our packs. They are pretty aggressive, and add an exciting dimension when a pack of 20 or so swarms around you while you're climbing.
