| Several years ago, I hiked Cistern Canyon. I also hiked the Muddy Creek Gorge when returning from Miners Hollow/Knotted Rope Canyon on May 3 2008. | Great loop. Did as a backpack starting at the Muddy River stated in my page. Getting all our gear up the chalkstone in Ramp was an interesting experience that involved a small rope, climbing up and puling everything up piece by piece. | |

| Did this as a loop hike down Cistern Canyon and up Ramp Canyon. Water was thigh deep and cold but not too bad. The big chockstone in Ramp Canyon has handholds that slant upward. | |
