| Took a late turn on what we thought was the ridge leading to "Sundog" and Sunshine but ended up on the shoulder of Redcloud and eventually the summit. Descending our intended route the turn off from the main trail was covered in avalanche debris and that's why we missed it on the way up. | |

| Climbed with Sunshine via the North Slopes from Lake San Cristobal Road. A pleasant hike throught the San Juan highlands to Redcloud's colorful summit. As storm clouds continued to move in, we rested on the summit for only a few minutes before beginning the traverse over to Sunshine. | |

| Very colorful hike. I was one of the first ones on the trail, so I didn't have to deal with the cloud untill later. Met a guy grilling a steak on top of the mountain. Wild stuff. | |
