Fun scramble
From Ebbetts pass. Started our ascent on the north east side and traversed to a saddle just south of the summit. Worked our way over to the west side then north to the summit. The last 50ft or so is a fun class 3 scramble to a small exposed summit.
From Ebbetts Pass. Views and air were good but decreased throughout the day as smoke was coming our way. Summit was fun class 3. I had more trouble with the loose ascent and descent the ways I went offtrail, there are probably better ways but I did not find them. A fun easy day in the volcanic Sierra.

East Face from the west
Dayhiked from the west. Scrambled over the entire ridge to the base of the final summit. Nice cl 3 volcanic rock.

Group of 10
There was only one name in the summit register for all of 2015 and 6 for 2014. Shocking this mountain is climbed so little. The chute from the east had some tough spots, but wasn't too bad. The summit block was really easy.

Fun Peak
From Ebbetts Pass, sustained class 2/3 on the upper reaches of the peak was a lot of fun. I was the 5th party to sign in this year. On the drive home stopped to bag Corral Ridge, the HP of Calaveras County to round out the day. TR is HERE.

Reynolds and Raymond with dog , round trip from Indian Valley
Started at the big meadow in Indian Valley at 10AM and headed E toward Reynolds, working into the basin W of the peak, featuring open terrain, some forest, and windy stream chasms. Worked up to the notch N of Reynolds just N of a thumb rock. Dog stayed while I scrambled up the the summit and returned (class 3). We then descended W and contoured N to the pass at the head of Pennsylvania Creek, and then descended to the base of Raymond's E slope and went up that, went over to the W side and up to Raymond, crossing back over the ridge higher up then to the summit (not quite class 3 -- dog was happy.) We descended back S to where we first topped the ridge, then descended the basin to the W until meeting the Crest Trail, returning the the Wet Meadows TH, and walking the road back to truck, arriving 4PM.

Reynolds (9679 ft), Ogul Peak
12 Nor Cal hikers set out to climb the peak from Ebbets Pass. We climbed to a ridge on the south side of the peak. The wind was 80-90 mph so we dropped down and looped around to the west side before we climbed to peak. At least we now had the wind to our back. Only 9 of us made it to the peak. 11 miles, 3200 feet elevation gain.
Hiked the PCT from Ebbetts Pass to the base of Reynolds. After some route finding, I found my way to the north side of the peak. From there it was a short, but fun climb to the summit.

East Slopes
Started late and watched the sunset. Not fun descending in the dark. Went up to the south side from the meadow, which is mostly class 2. Went along the base of the summit block to the north side. A dusting of snow made it slippery, but it was easy.

Suprised this doesn't get climbed more- for a volcanic peak it was pretty fun. The approach hike along the wildflower laden PCT was also quite nice.
Didn't see the need for the hand traverse. Just climbed up to the left of the "crux" from your photo and walked over onto the ledge beyond it. Don't remember needing to do anything that required exposure on the summit block.
