Rime-covered Snow on Sargents Ridge

Rime-covered Snow on Sargents Ridge

February 15th, 2010 - Snow on the western aspects in the upper elevations of Sargents Ridge were covered with rime branches. This made for a strange climbing surface and a very scenic climb! These formations were about the size of a calf or fore-arm, so it was like climbing over a bunch of frozen appendages. Some of these looked more like hooves, and others more like feet.
