Fist day
We decided to do the desert triangle on our first day on Tenerife. After a fire in 2007 fences have been brought up in the area around Fortaleza and you are not allowed to go everywhere. Discovered a new descent route through a gully in the west face. Good views of snow covered Teide.
This was a nice short trail, good to warm up with after camping in the park the previous night (Oops! Did I say that?). Some decent views of the eastern coast, Sante Cruz, Canaleria and Guimar. Clouds seem to be a permanent fixture on this coast though. Saw no one all morning under blue skies.
