An easy hike is all that is required to conquer the mighty Roof Butte.
See the main text.
Not much to describe - just walk up the switchbacks to the top. The true summit is on the east end of the flat summit, a tiny 9,800-foot contour. It's possible to drive this road, too, but it is steep and requires 4wd. Don't be surprised to meet the fire lookout personnel while up there. It's about a mile (maybe more) of walking, and just under 900 feet of gain.
Comfortable clothing, camera, water. Beware of thunderstorms in summer.
