| After getting stuck in a huge rut on the way up to the parking point, we got pulled out by a couple guys who came up behind us. (lucky considering the the desolation of the area). After this, we finally got underway. Muddy and soft, but an enjoyable hike with Idahosummits, Idahokid and my dog Red, who is getting to be a pretty accomplished scrambler. Based on the season that we went, either going a little earlier (ground more frozen, less spring rain), or a little later in the season (drier) might have been better. Since every year is different, getting the timing right might be challenging. |
