Rose Chafer Couple
Rose chafer (Cetonia aurata) is a common insect in the Carpathian Mountains. This large and attractive beetle belongs to the family Scarabaeidae and can reach the length of 20 mm. It feeds on flower nectar and pollen. In the Low Beskid it can be spotted most often on sunny days in the flowers of Black Elder (Sambucus nigra) and Rugosa Rose (Rosa rugosa).
