| Mlasky | Nice Hike ![]() Date Climbed: Jun 18, 2001 | |
| I logged my summits on a spreadsheet but a few I never logged the date. I have "summer 2001" down for this, so admittedly have guessed the rest. Started out sunny, but clouded over as we neared the saddle. It didn't look threatening so we continued on. Climbed with a girlfriend from Hailey. | ||

| Was more intrigued by rock towers on surrounding ridges, but good high peak. | ||

| Hot and sunny. Had some problems with water over the road. We camped just below the saddle and got thundered on pretty heavily. | ||

| Great hike except for hiking up the scree section (2 steps up, slide 1 down). Amazing views from the summit, unfortunately I had the worst case of altitude sickness I've ever had and wasn't too happy at the time. After dropping a couple hundred feet, I felt better and had a really fun time jumping down the scree. | ||

| Made the climb with my wife and our dog. Beautiful day. Long, but scenic approach. Good view of Boulders. | ||

| This is an interesting mountain to climb. The approach is long and steep and you do not get a view of the summit for almost the entire climb. The views, especially once you reach West Pass, are stunning. You see steep faces (Kent), sweeping views (West Pass), distant peaks (Glassford) in virtually every direction you look. The drawback to any climb in the Boulders is, of course, the looseness of the rock. Scrambling on this scree is unpleasant. Descending, on the other hand, can be a blast. | ||

| Very nice hike to West Pass. From the pass it is a scree slog to the south ridge, but then a fun scramble from there. | ||
