Approach

See "Getting There" section. Road goes right to the trailhead.

Route Description

Nice hike. Easy to see the trail. The outcropping you can scramble up is clearly marked and forks off to the right about a quarter mile from the trailhead. Steep rocky steps and slabs so be careful when wet. The rest of the trail starts in typical Pacific Northwest forests and it thins a bit near the top where it is mostly rock. There is an unofficial trail also near one switchback that goes out to the base of the basalt dike. Not sure if you can continue up from there but the view of the dike is interesting.

Shortly before the summit you will cross the saddle (summit will be in sight there). There are benches at the summit.

Cluck adds to not bother tagging the other summit as it is an overgrown bushwhack and not worth the bother.

Essential Gear

None needed.

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
