Sage on the summit
This is the east slope of the summit of Camp Howard. The mix of open fir, sage brush and transitional grasslands makes this an interesting area ecologically. The pinkinsh flower visible is broadfruit mariposa, (Calochortus nitidus), which is endemic to the canyon grasslands and prairies of west central Idaho. June 2006
