Worthwhile Whim
We didn't set out to hit the summit, but had false or mistaken information that that the washes below were prime for geode hunting. We started from the road approx. 1/2 mile north of the cemetary and ended up on the south summit not realizing that crossing the ridge would lead us to a NGS marker and the real(actual) prize. Regardless it was much fun and very satisfying. Looks like we were the first to sign the logbook since it was installed up top.

Salt Mountain is a neat little peak. I decided to go here because it was a cloudy and rainy day in the higher elevations of the area.

Nice family hike
Beautiful day for a hike. Nice views of Deseret. We went up the gully just east of point 5138.
