Sawtooth Range (CO)

The Sawtooth Range is more a group of peaks in the Park Range than really an extensive mountain range, but contains some of the most rugged mountains in Colorado. Josh and I did the Sawtooth Range Traverse on September 8 2007, which is when these photos were taken. Some of the peaks we missed are definately technical, but we decided to leave the tech gear in the car since we were on a day trip (doing the technical peaks would require an overnighter). For those that haven't been to the Sawtooths, the area is somewhat like the Gore Range (can't think of anywhere else to compare it too), but has a more wilderness feel since the peaks aren't visible from any highway or town, even though like the Gores they are very easy to get to.

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
