| I still remember it from 18 years ago. The views were simply outstanding! When you look off to the west, the dark lava flows contrast nicely with the snow on Mount Shasta. The Tule Lake National Wildlife Refuge is just to the north. Nearly 200 caves have been counted within the Monument. In the winter, large numbers of deer can be seen. | ||

| EASY CLIMB. HIT IT IN THE MORNING AS A WAKE UP. FIRST PERSON TO SIGN LOG IN A WEEK. GOOD COLD WEATHER. THE REAL ATTRACTION IS THE CAVES. THIS TRIPPED I DID A BUNCH OF CAVES OFF THE BEATIN TRACK | ||

| Very easy, very nice climb. Climbed it with my wife right after a good storm with a few inches of fresh snow on the ground. It got pretty windy at the top probably 20 mph, with some snow. The views were pretty good even for an overcast day, I'm sure the views would be spectacular on a clear day, especially with Mount Shasta visible. -2skinners- | ||
