Sea of clouds wrapping Monviso
Monviso or Monte Viso m. 3841 seen from Punta Roma.
In the ancient times Monviso was believed the highest summit of the Alps; it was celebrated by the latin poet Virgilio, by Dante Alighieri and Petrarca.
On its summit the Italian Alpine Club was ideally born in the summer of the year 1863.
