Sergio Verdina skinning his splitboard toward the summit. The snow on the north side of the ridge was fluffy powder. On the sunny south side it was glop and would stick in big clumps to the bottom of our skis, thus adding 5-10 lbs of weight with each step. Feb. 17, 2005.
