Thanks Moapa! Do you mean going beyond Zion...just kidding. The mountains farther north are a lot greener. This is actually one of the lower peaks of the Wasatch Range. It's a good mountain to hike during late spring and autumn. I think you would also enjoy hiking in the Uinta Mountains.
I'm "scheduled" to go to Michele Pfeifferhorn, Timpanagos, Nebo... sometime! Else I've just been to Henrys, Pine Mtns, Tushars, Notch, High Uintas (just Kings and Gilbert) and of course... Zion! That leaves a whole lot of Utah unseen!
Those are good choices. Timpanogos is a great mountain that is popular. Some people are worried about seeing mountain lions while hiking in Utah. What fewer people know is that they might see catwoman near the summit of Michele Pfeifferhorn!
