| The first time I climbed Shafer Butte was by way of the new "Superior" run that we were working on for Bogus Basin. We worked as "coolies" during the summer to earn five bucks per day off a $55 dollar season pass. You were allowed to work 3 times during the summer for a total of $15 credit towards the purchase of your pass. The practice had to stopped when the minimum wage laws were passed. | |

| Three of us joined ranks to hike up both Shaffer and Mores on a hot Idaho day. Splattski and deltaoperator and myself made up a dedicated trio although both of these guys had done these two peaks many times before and were kind enough to do them again for me. Both Steve and John were great and it would have been fun to have had Cornvallis along (Tom). | |

| I went up to climb Moore's Mountain and had time left over so I decided to go to the top of Shaffer Butte too. It was worth it and the view was great! | |

| Biked up from lower Bogus Basin lot, and hung on for a fast scary ride down the front side. Have also summited via ski lift...much easier. | |

| Hiked it with my Dad (Deltaoperator17) after a day of downhill mountain biking. Not much to look at going up but the views was very nice! Camped at the Mores Campground and hit the summit on Mores the nest morning. | |
