Have you ever visited the Oquirrh Mountains
of Tooele County in northern Utah?
This mountain reminds me of the east face of
Lowe Peak, but they probably don't have near as many Rocky Mountain elk in northern Utah.

Do they still have 'field biologists' out there counting elk (and sheep) in the Fall, or can they still afford to do that? Is there a way I can volunteer for that position? Thanks, Sarah!! :)

Larry,

Nope, never been to the Oquirrh Mtns in Utah. Utah is a wonderful place, though, and I'm always happy to get there.

Field biologists? Maybe volunteer grad students, but I'm sure the Forest Service pays no one to do such a thing.
