Thanks for the vote. Hey, you no show at the Ropo parto. Bob said you had another engagement. You can make up your absence by coming to my 60th birthday party...in 27 years. :)
OK, you got a deal. 27 years it is. Lets see, yeah, I'll be about 90 but hey, I'll never be old to welcome someone into their 60's (and to get free cake).
Yeah, I wanted to go to John's bash but just couldn't get out of my commitment. So we did it by email (wishes and that sort of stuff) Bob said you and he had a great time chatting (about mountains and routes) Bob's a great guy, he is super passionate about the mountains, which is a plus.
Your Sherpa pics are pretty neat, that is an amazing set of rocks, you wonder how long they'll remain there (another thousand years?)
Hmmm, me thinks humanity will perish from the earth before that balanced rock falls down. But then, judging by the disappearance of this rock atop Dome, maybe not.
Only Argonaut Peak remains (I have to climb it first) before every important Stuart Range mountain save for Mt. Temple has been given its own room in the summitpost hotel.
Yes, I could tell Bob is passionate about mountains. One of the highlights of my evening (other than meeting Bob) was meeting Joe Vance. Joe is one of the old-timers who finished the Bulger Top 100 (8th over all in 1988). He must be about 80 now. I also finally met Howbert...and Bob's attractive wife...and John's rambunctious son...and John's collection of old climbing boots lining the downstairs hall! I can only imagine the summits those boots have trod upon.

Untitled CommentTwin summits about 3 miles west of Little Annapurna. The tricky summit is a 20 foot gendarme like the Milk Bottle on Starlight.
