Slough Creek

Slough Creek, which lies in the center of a wide valley where you can hike for dozens of miles away from Yellowstone's auto tourists. It's grazed pretty heavily by a variety of ungulates--notice the relative lack of riverside vegetation. Photo in late September 2007.
