Some contend this is the...

Some contend this is the highest lake in the state. I say it is not big enough to be a lake. At any rate, this tarn known as "Glissade Lake" is at ~7,900 ft at the head of the South Fork of Bear Creek southeast of the summit. Those snowfields must be the Skidgravel and Glissade glaciers, respectively. They aint much. July 14, 2001.
