Some parts of this trail are somewhat paved which I found little disturbing, I don’t think it was necessary, since it was not that close to the edge, but I guess there is a good reason for it, since they had to haul the stuff pretty dam high (July 7, 2005)

Being that Zion

is so popular with tourists from all parts of
the world, you can count on seeing paved and
well-maintained trails. It's not like most
places in the Mohave Desert, where you can go
cross-country and never see anybody.
