Reminds me...

...of something I did in Austria, years ago, this enormous distance between the rungs...only I didn't have such a vast drop as that below me! Did you do this via ferrata unroped of did you secure yourself somehow?

Eric, and you have long legs. I think this part would be really hard on short people, both the handholds and footholds were hard to reach for me (168 cm). My son is now 180.
As you noticed later, we did have a very improvised security set up with two slings and locking carabiners. Still, the fall would have been hard - it would be hard to get back on the route since it is a traverse, and the swing would have been long. There were long distances between the bolts (up to 10 meters or even more).
