Some teams ascending, some...

Some teams ascending, some are going down towards Camp 1 (500 vertical meters down on the glacier), which is located just right of "The Tooth". This is one of the easier parts of the climb in between C 1 and C2. Only shorter sections with snow up to 70 degrees. Altitude: 6450m.

Re: Light/Time of the day

When you will pass to digital, the problem will be solved: in the metadata such information is readable.

Re: Some informations of photo

Thanks for the nice feedback!

Camera: Minolta 9xi

Lens: Minolta AF 24-85/3,5-4,5 (on most of the photos from Pakistan). I wish I could bring some non-zooms for better quality, but the weight is always a consideration.

Film: A mix of Kodak Ektachromes. Elite 100, VS100 and E100GX.

This photo: I think it was a roll of VS.

Re: Nice!

Thanks for the vote and comment. It was a special morning. Very quiet, crisp and with a wondeful light.

Black and white...

...just great, this picture could easly be black and white and would still have its unique high-contrast effect!

Re: Black and white...

Thanks for the nice words.
That early in the morning there was very little color on the landscape. White snow and dark rock. Long black shadows.
