South Mountain Utah

Take the dirt road that goes past what used to be a gate and go to the left side of the fence and follow the ridgeline up as shown by yellow line in this picture. Once you get on top of the ridge, trend to your left and head south to the top, which has a fallen antenna structure nearby. Nice views in all directions. It is only about a mile from the end of this road but you will gain well over 1300 feet in that mile. Even though the snow looks sparse in this pic, I hit enough on top to require snowshoes. I was glad I had them with me. 3-6-10
