South Side of the Sky

The south face of Bear Mountain, as seen from the Doe Mountain trail south of Boynton Pass. Bear Mountain was probably named for bear sightings in and around the nearby canyons by its base. "The sunshine, in mountains sometimes lost .. The river, can disregard the cost; And melt in the sky ... warmth when you die ... DIE!" February 23, 2011
