Not very interesting traverse from Sonora Pk, but the varied geology is pretty. Fun Class 2+ on upper section of ascent on astanislaus.
A very scenic route. I counted eight stream crossings on the way to Stanislaus Peak, each one prettier than the last, with abundant wildflowers.
