During a solo backpack to Island Lake. A great scramble up excellent granite slabs to a summit block with stunning views of Titcomb Basin, Gannet Peak, the Tetons and sweeping glaciers

From Titcomb/Mistake Lakes, with James. This approach involves either a snowy gully or trashy debris and dodging - the couloirs on the west side are trash collectors! Once you reach the saddle, everything is solid as can be.

A nice addition to a Gannett ascent.

In the clouds, The one day a late start would have been better, they broke just above Mistake Lake.

the night before me summited, we saw the mountain in the moonlight and decided to arise early to summit, it was the hardest day of the trip and the most rewarding. It made the whole trip worth while!!!
