Summit of Wedge Peak, dawn

Summit of Wedge Peak, dawn

The summit of Wedge Peak shines in the first light of morning. Taken from Pangpema, November, 1998. Peak 5950 is located directly north across the Kangchenjunga Glacier from Wedge Peak. SP member Bor has provided a link to an expedition that made an ascent of this magnificent peak.

Re: Outstanding!

Hi Dragger, nice to hear from you, and I'm glad you like the shot. It's an awe-inspiring mountain, so my part in the deal was minimal!

Re: Absolutly FANTASTIC !!!

Liz, that's exactly what I was wondering about. What a beauty! Congratulations. Nice outfit too. She's a looker and a sharp dresser! Well, all the best. I'm very happy for you.

Re: Absolutly FANTASTIC !!!

Thanks Nelson! She is well worth missing my chance to climb Everest! She is wearing her North Face fleece with the Everest Base Camp Medical Clinic 2005 patch, a gift from Dr. Luanne Freer !! www.basecampmd.com

Be well and congrats to Mama Tembo on doing so great on Kilimanjaro :-) Your trip report was a wonderful read.

Be well, Liz

Re: amazing

I crawled out of the warm sleeping bag to wait for the sun to strike the peaks. The photo does not do justice to the scene, of course. Thanks again for your comments.

I like it

Nelson,
That is quite a mountain.
I would love to do a trekking vacation to Nepal sometime.
