Summit Pitch of UN 9,300

Summit Pitch of UN 9,300

UN 9,300 is an obscure little peak. From afar it appears to be well-guarded and difficult to reach. We explored and found an easy but very exposed 5.0ish route to the summit. The photo shows a climber leading the very runout pitch. The climb was a lot of fun! Lost Creek Wilderness, Colorado. October 2008.

Re: cool

Kane, this one is ~1 mile NW of the Shafthouse, just over 3 miles E of McCurdy. Its also only ~2/3 of a mile from another cool technical (5.6) peak we climbed - UN 9,242. This was only my 2nd visit to the LCW (after The Castle) and I loved it! Both of these peaks are a lot of fun.
