that is a beautiful view. i have done some backpacking around shasta, but i have never made it up the mountain. it is something i would like to do someday. congradulations on making it up. thanks for the great pics.

It would almost appear that you've preambulated mistakenly to a sub summit, but, indeed--you're Johnny on the spot! (I know, I've been there too) Love your report, brings back memories of utter petulance as I moaned and groaned my way to the very spot you teeter on. Glad I did it, glad going down was easier. ....It was a fun climb though......
