Sunrise Point

Sunrise Point

Sunrise Point Mount Rainier National Park, August 2009 Even on a cloudy day the views from Sunrise Point were excellent and the place was deserted even in August! Sunrise Point is one of the highest places that be reached by car in Rainier NP and at Sunrise Point the road makes a switchback around a parking lot. With an altitude of 6100 feet and a clear day you can get views of Mt. Rainier, the Emmons Glacier as well as a number of other mountains, might include Mt. Baker, Glacier Peak, Mt. Adams, and Mt. Hood.

Solution ?

Find a "time portal," where you can
materialize to another August of the past,
when the sun was shining on all of Mount
Rainier's beautiful glaciers and snowfields.

Can you smell the fir boughs, Kathy ?

Re: Solution ?

Sometimes I can Larry! When I'm bored at work or riding in the car (not driving) I can picture myself back there.

I will return!
