Thanks Sasa!

I finally have broken my own lethargy (I really didnt have enough time). This was difficult tack because source of information for these mountains are very scarce.

Take care!

Knowing how scarce information is for this area and seeing what you have done is what impressed me very much and I’m thankful for your effort!

Yes, I'm also in some lethargic spell. Didn't make a new page for some time (since early spring), also mostly because of lack of time. But now activities are slowly going down (before snow) so I hope I’ll do something for SP.

Pozdrav,

Sasa

I am hardly waiting to see your new pages and photos!

I am preparing a one on Dinaric Alps. I have talked with you (and Vid) some time ago about it, and since then I have collected lots of info. Now Vlado thinks also that such one page is needed, or at least usefull. He wrote me to contact you about it. Did you have some plans about the page, since last time we discussed about it (about grouops in this mountain range)? If yes write me back. If no, may I in future ask for your photo and other contribution on that page?

Hope to hear from you soon!

Gord

Thanks Vlado. Ive finally found some time to activate myself into SP again. It is very difficult to find data about Kucka krajina, and i had problem with lot of topo-mistakes, from previous cartographs. I hope my work is accurate enough. Cheers for your Durmitor esries too!!!

Thanks, Gordan! I have one suggestion: i suggested to Sasha (velebit) to create Dinaric Alps page, which will contain all mountain ranges from Velebit to Prokletije and Sar Planina. So, contact him and make a deal with him about creating of that important page, which will connect all these Dinaric pages. It will be nice to see soon this beautiful page.

Greetings,

Vlado

Vlado, material for Dinaric Alps page is already collected :-). But I need some time to prepare it seriously enough. Ive talked to Sasha some month ago and he told me about problems with regrouping the mountains of Dinarics. One of his ideas (and he discussed with Vid about it) was to do divide them by republics/state. I personally prefer a morphological or traditional division.

F.e. where would you put Dinara, or Kamesnica, or Maglic (Sutjeska), under what state?

I have already start to shape some of the groups and massifs in Dinarics. F.e. Velebit, Prokletije, Dinara massif and Licka Pljesevica massif could each be separate groups, then mountains of Dalmatia have more ranges, then Velika Kapela.... But lets talk about Durmitor. It is so diverse and complex it could be a major group for itself, but usually in geography and other fields it is considered to be a part of Povrsi i brda part in Montenegro.... there are so many such problems...

I invite you (you have my mail) if you have better data, especially about Dinaric mountains of Serbia and Montenegro. (in Serbia I need a good source or info about the most precise limits of Dinarics to the East and Southeast. In 5 books you can find that Kopaonik does not belong to Dinarics, then in the 6th book you find differen opinion. I hope you understand the problem!

Hope to hear from you, take care!

Gord
