Swallow Rocks Summit.

This photo was taken July 18, 2011 looking south at the Wasatch Range from the summit of Swallow Rocks, 8,901 feet in altitude. This summit was reached from riding the Great Western trail north from Big Mountain Pass, near Parley's and Emigration Canyon. Once climbing about 1,000 feet, a level but extremely rocky trail was encountered as the trail slowly curved to the north west. I took a side trail leading under the flank of the Swallow Rocks area, ascended it's south west ridge to the summit, and downclimbed the east ridge back to the main trail. A great day for a nice rough ride.
