some science at last!

Looks like, you've learned a bit geology before, haven't you?! That's pretty. Most of us climbers don't care/or don't know anything about what kind of creation these stone-ice-snow giants really are, however it is definitely important.

Glad you enjoy the science as much as I do! I am a geology major at Colorado College and have been doing it for most of my life. I always love to climb the mountains for thier beauty, but knowing where they come from is always interesting. Sometimes it can be important and give you clues to better routes and where the rock will be more stable too.
