It's amazing how many mountains are called "sugarloaf"! As I found also the Pao d'açucar on your page, you might also like to add the Zuckerhütl on your list; the name means precisely "little sugarloaf"!
Cheers,
Eric
I had no idea there were so many. There is another one in the Oregon Coast range I plan to visit soon too. Neat page. Plus, I learned something. I had no idea where the word sugarloaf came from.
That's funny. I'm about to post about another one, in the most unlikely of states. But it will be in Trip Report format, not a mountain page.
I always thought it was a prozaic name for a mountain. The majority of them bear no resemblance to a sugary loaf.

Re: Holy Crap
Well, I'm glad I can "educate" with some of my pages - makes me feel good! Perhaps we'll see the Oregon Coastal Range Sugarloaf added to SP??? :)
Do a Lists of John search for "Sugarloaf" in your state - you just might be amazed. Never mind other English spellings...and then on SP there are the local-language spellings...and it gets pretty overwhelming!

Cool page...
I had know idea that this page existed...glad I'm able to contribute. Just in Oregon there's probably close to 30 peaks, buttes, or mountains that are called Sugarloaf.
Just posted a Sugarloaf I found by accident on the Mississippi river - one that suffered some mining damage that makes it probably the only class 5 summit in the Great Lakes area.

Re: Cool page...Karl,
Good, between you and Brian Jenkins, maybe we can get those 30 Oregon buttes/peaks/mountains up on this page!
Thanks for the note, for stopping by, and for adding another Sugarloaf to the collection!

Re: BCHello,
I will need to do some research and see if I can find my pictures. I climbed it four times during a trip to B.C. in 2008.
