Switchbacks

Trail Camp is in center just over the tops of the boulders that are hiding the tents. The route will go to trail camp (center of photo), then the switchbacks ascend the slope on the left of the photo. From there the route goes behind the cliff/peaks pictured here, and skirts the cliffs on the backside of those peaks until coming up Whitney. Once you ascend the switchbacks up the slope, the hardest part is over.
