One of the finest traverses in the Alps
I did this traverse going the opposite way - and tent based. I camped with Alun G first between Nid D'Aigle and Tete Rouse, up on top of the Aiguille du Gouter (long before they became strict about camping there) - and then after the fine experience of traversing Mont Blanc and Mont Maudit, camped again on Col Maudit - before summiting Mont Blanc du Tacul and finishing on Aiguille du Midi.
In 2013, climbing with rgg I did another similar traverse, starting in Italy with the Gonella Route and then finishing with descent of the 3 Monts - although we didn't take in summits of Maudit and Tacul on this occasion.
