Tapia Llwydion

This photo illustrates the broken nature of the scrambling at the end of the Tapia Llwydion technical climb. The photo points east, and you need to head that way if you want to do the harder scrambling (April 2008).

What is the brush

or plants growing on this mountain?
It looks as if it is rather nasty to
climb or scramble through. Can't a
person follow a "stag trail" or something?
You are in the right by saying it can
be very difficult scrambling to the summit.
Here, here. Job well done, Dan!! -Larry

Re: What is the brush

That's heather, to be fair for a mountain tiger such as myself it's pretty easy ;) The best scrambling is on that far ridge of rock on the skyline, some quite good stuff there it's just not continuous enough. Climbing it is a bit like bouldering a line of... well boulders.

Cheers
Dan
