Re: nice compositionArthur,
Thanks for the kudos. I figured no one on SP would like this photo because it's "just a stupid log cabin" and not a knife-edge ridge in the sky, etc.
I think this cabin photo, however, speaks a lot about the Tarryall in general: The history, the people, the landscape.
Cheers!
Sarah

Re: nice compositionMostly I always look for the best, mind-blowing photos of mountains above treeline, but sometimes the western feel of a dry field with trees around it gives me the amazing sense of being in an old Western.

Re: nice compositionIndeed, some of the most beautiful places in Colorado are the quieter, more subtle locations!
Safe climbing,

Cool cabinsLove finding old cabins. I know of at least 12 in the hills on the east side of Pikes Peak along with at least five mine tunnels on the east side as well. Fun to learn the history about them.

Re: Cool cabinsI like to peek around the cabins and imagine what life must have been like raising a family in one in the dead of winter, for instance. Yikes! Some tough sons-of-guns! -Sarah
