I always wanted to do

Telescope, but everybody told me to GO in
October. The last time I went, I got as far
as the Charcoal Kilns. It was WAY too cold
to go any further.

I guess I'm more of a "warm-weather" person!
Congratulations and best of times!! -LARRY

Re: I always wanted to do

I think the most difficult part of Telescope Peak was my allergies to the Ragweed. The hike up is very easy and straight forward. The weather was perfect in September because of the coolness at elevation. I found that Furnace Creek was still extremely hot though! Thank you so much, Larry!

Re: I always wanted to do

(You are very welcome.)

Yes, I've been to Furnace Creek in October.
I was swimming in a pool beneath the date palms. It was back when I owned a mountain
bike, and I took it up some of the dirt roads
bordering Death Valley.

Sorry about folks having to deal with
allergies! I think I might be allergic to
Salt Cedars. Love to have salt on my
Margarita glass, however!

(Those were the days...) NICE PICTURE!!!
