I visited this summit yesterday. A great viewpoint. Note that the 1036 summit (benchmark) is actually among the houses off of Ridge Drive south of the 1000+ point that the short trail leads up to. Although, upon standing atop the 1000+ point it seemed like the houses were no higher. Maybe that 1020+ contour got graded off to build the houses.
Good observation! I am actually going to look more into that. There is a ball field now where the high point was. It is almost like they pushed all debris more to the edge in order to make the park and the highpoint!
The 1036 point is among houses where the BM is somewhere in the living room of the house at the end of Rimcrest Circle. Maybe the BM is an Easy Button on their coffee table.
