Texelspitze (3318m) from high on the Roteck east ridge

You would think that in the Texel Group a mountain named Texelspitze would be the highest peak. However, you would be mistaken: at 3337 m, Roteck is 19 meters higher. And if you ask me, it looks prettier too. I haven't climbed the Texelspitze (yet, anyway), because I learned that the mountain has lots of scree and not too good quality rock. It's better in winter or spring, when it's all covered with snow. 4 August 2012.
