Updates  Sucess!

Led the climb this time. It's old school 5.9 (1967), climbs like 5.10 but there are some nice additions to the route. Two bolts and a piton protect the traverse section. Rappel slings at top of first section have a piton above and the last move / rap spot has a combo of nuts, slings, piton, locking biners to get off. It's safer than it was in 2002, but still a bold lead. PVC summit log still there but log was soaked.

West Face  Sucess!

I was the second on what we believe to have been the 2nd ascent of the Arrowhead; the leader placed a PVC pipe summit register on top. Can anyone confirm if this is still in place?

Anyway, as I recall it felt more like 5.11 than the supposed 5.9. Either way, amazing route, stupendous views, and a gnarly approach that left me hypoglycemic and semi-delirious on the hike down past Hell Roaring Lake.

Long approach, but exhilirating climbing leads to thin summit fin.
