The Bare Bottom

One last view of the 260-ft-deep natural pit (crater) and the summit rocks of Bare Mountain. The bowl-shaped crater meadow would make an ideal place for hunters to lie in wait for game. Fortunately there were no hunters in there aiming their guns at us--fair game peakbagger animals that we may be. October 13, 2007.
