The Bhagirathi Sisters
The Bhagirathi Sisters are three fantastic and very impressive peaks of the Garhwal ( from right: BI, 6856 m - BIII, 6454 m - BII, 6512 m ), situated between the Gangotri and Raktavarn glaciers.They are well known among extreme climbers, due to their vertical granitic faces of more than 1000 meters.
The first ascent of the group was made in 1938 by an Austrian-German team that reached the summit of Baghirathi II.
